In 2008, Ra offered the last open semester of the Rave Cosmology program. Unlike past semesters in which courses were dedicated to in-depth study of single topics, Rave Cosmology VIII: Mystic Monologues comprises eleven distinct lectures.

Not-Self Purpose - Or the Madness of Being Normal is the second lecture of this series and focuses on how humanity is driven by a false sense of purpose, adding layer upon layer to the homogenized way of life that dominates the world.

Ra explores the themes of our open centers from a general perspective, highlighting the immense impact each of them has on the collective drive toward mental-decision making that can keep us stuck in an inauthentic way of life.
