Prior to the Industrial Revolution, most human beings spent a great deal of time outdoors, connecting to the natural world. Today, computers and social media — rather than time outdoors — take up more and more of our waking hours.

And yet, if we step outside into nature, everything changes. A recent study found that spending just thirty minutes in nature lowered blood pressure and relieved anxiety and depression.

The reason is simple: we are part of nature, and to connect with nature is to connect more deeply to ourselves. So it’s fascinating to learn, through Ra Uru Hu’s lectures on The Architecture of Life, that Human Design concepts apply not just to humans, but to other life forms as well.

These lectures offer a vibrant look into how Human Design principles and approaches give insight into our world as a whole, focusing on a specific Design of Form for:

  • The Inanimate
  • The Cell
  • Plants
  • Insects
  • Fish, Birds and Reptiles
  • Mammals
  • The Trans-Auric Forms: Penta and Wa

This course gives you an opportunity to understand the impact and dynamics of Human Design on a broader basis, and the synergies between the human and non-human world. It offers insight into Design as a template for all life, broadening your understanding of its effect on humans and on the world at large.

The Architecture of Life is a 11+hour, 7-lecture series that Ra Uru Hu taught at the 2006 annual Human Design event in Ibiza, Spain.

The lectures were recorded live at the event, and Ra’s voice is clear and easily understood. However, the recording is not studio-quality; throughout the course of the lectures, the voices of 2 translators can be heard in the background. Click the product image above to play an audio excerpt from Lesson 5.

For that reason, Jovian Archive has created an accompanying eBook version of the lectures that can be used in combination with the audio recordings. (Here's an eBook excerpt!)

COURSE CURRICULUM:

Lesson 1:
The Inanimate
The evolutionary movement of forms and the potential for consciousness begin with the inanimate. We generally think of the inanimate as dead matter; in this lesson, Ra explains that all of life’s extraordinary forms evolve from the inanimate, including the human body. The inanimate, or material essence, is simply dormant but infused with life.

Lesson 2:
The Cell
Our bodies are built of millions and millions of cells that are unaware of the existence of our personality. The vehicle does not belong to us; rather, the personality is invited into the body for the ride, but not to run the show. So what is the relationship between the cells — the body — and our Personality? In this lesson, Ra explains the role of the body and the role of the Personality, and our potential to experience life authentically.

Lesson 3:
Plant
Plants are one of the most important allies that we have. But the relationship is an ironic one, as plants will either homogenize us or provide us with the potential to individuate. In this lesson, Ra explains the importance of plants in our lives, and how we can best relate to them to experience their beneficial influence.

Lesson 4:
Insect
Have you ever wondered why you happen to be a nice treat for mosquitoes, but the person next to you isn’t? Have you ever thought about how important the relationship between insect and plant is? Did you know that 90% of the biomass is insect? In this lesson, Ra delves into the world of the insect, the relationship humans have with the insect, and what the insect realm can teach us.

Lesson 5:
Bird, Reptile, Fish
We live in a time of great change. One significant change will be the extinction of many species throughout the world. As Birds and Fish are a primary source of food for humans, how will their extinction impact us? In this lesson, Ra talks about the current global cycle, how this cycle’s changes will affect our lives, and what we can do to smoothly experience the changes mentally and physically.

Lesson 6:
Mammals
When we stopped giving thanks to the spirit of animals we hunted and began industrializing their slaughter, we also lost our love for them. That loss further moved us away from our own spirit. Now that we are in a time of great change, how will the changes we experience affect our relationship with mammals? In this course, Ra talks about how our lives and the lives of mammals have been intertwined, where this relationship will lead us in the future, and what the mammalian Design can teach us about ourselves.

Lesson 7:
Penta and Wa
There are forms that are more complex than the human form. These forms, the Penta and Wa, are transpersonal rather than self-contained, and actually dictate human direction. The Penta exists when there are three to five people together, and the Wa is formed when there are 16 or more in a group. In this lesson, Ra explains the mechanics of these forms and how they affect us.
