But something to understand about plants at the most profound level is thatevery single plant—that is such a big thing to say, it’s hard—all carry Personality consciousness; all of them. If you look at the Design of a plant, you will see that the plant will sacrifice itself to the conditioning of any form.
I talked about it yesterday when we looked at the basis of cellular structure that we have the 15-5, which is the universal rod, the staff of life. This is the life force. And everything from the cell up, has a relationship to the 15-5, except the plant. The plant has a 15; it has no 5.
The fact is, the plant is open to the conditioning of its patterns by any form, whether it is insects, fish, fowl, reptiles, mammals, whatever you want. Everything has a way of connecting to the plant domain because it is the plant domain that give us all the potential of existence.
We have concerns about disappearing rainforest and all of these things, as we need our oxygen. It’s nice. I live in the middle of an orchard; it’s wonderful. There is this breath machine, if you will. The thing that is so extraordinary about plants is that they are designed to sacrifice. Every other form is designed to eat or be eaten, dominate or fall. Plants lie there and say over and over again, “You want to cut me every other day? That’s okay. You want to bleed the sap out of me? That’s okay.”
And remember that plants are not inanimate. They’re living, breathing consciousness. You look out in a field and you see nothing but Personality Crystal consciousness. It’s unbelievable. It’s just too bad we do not have the eyes to see that; only metaphors and poetry can touch such a thing. And they’re designed for that. They are the ones that maintain this biosphere.
People are always bitching at me that I eat meat. I love to eat vegetarians. It’s not my fault; I really do like eating vegetarians. They’re delicious. I don’t like eating carnivores at all. Those vegetarians, these sweet peaceful vegetarians, as they’re munching on crystals of consciousness all day long, the plant is saying, “Okay.” It’s incredible.
They have as much potential for consciousness—a flower has as much potential of consciousness as you and me. It just has Windows 95 instead of XP. What to do! In the construct there is not the advantage there for the Personality. It’s just as well, as you can imagine what that Personality would be like. “What do you mean, I’m here to die? I’m here to give myself to others?” And there is no reward for them. They get a few minutes to bloom, then somebody comes along and says, “Oh, that would look nice in a glass.”
I love all these various sophisticated new age herbalists. While they’re grinding the flower with a mortar and pestle and slamming the thing saying, “this is going to be really good for you,” they have no sense of what they’re dealing with. It’s consciousness. I always love the joke of people who are looking for aliens. They’re always looking for aliens. Talk to a flower, up close and personal. You want a third encounter, here it is. Talk to the flower. You’ve never met anything like that.”
